This book explores the history and heritage of a selection of towns and villages to be found in Huntingdonshire which was one of the smallest of the historic English counties.
In 1974 it was absorbed into Cambridgeshire ceasing to be a county, but its name lives on in the Huntingdonshire District Council with borders based on those of the county.
The river Great Ouse passes through and has been described as the prettiest stretch of river in the land. Godmanchester, Huntingdon, St Ives, and St Neots are among the towns and villages which can be enjoyed along its banks.
Many notable people can be found in its history including Oliver Cromwell its most famous son, Samuel Pepys who attended Huntingdon Grammar School, and William Cowper who lived at Huntingdon.
The book may be found in paperback, hardback, and ebook on Amazon.
