Abingdon-on-Thames, Henley-on-Thames, and Marlow are three historic and picturesque towns on the river Thames. Abingdon was once the county town of Berkshire before becoming a part of Oxfordshire. Henley is famous for its annual regatta, and Marlow has its famous suspension bridge on one of the loveliest stretches of the river.
There are many more churches in the East Anglia than can be included in the space of one publication and this book features a selection of fifty churches that can be found around the counties of Norfolk, Suffolk, and Essex. Churches are many things. They are primarily places of worship, they provide service to their local communities, are of architectural interest, and are an important part of our heritage and history, with reminders and memorials of famous and ordinary people from past centuries.
